2026–2027: Our Year to Rise

Welcome to another exciting year at Raceland Middle School, Home of the Cubs!

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, our school community is coming together around a powerful theme: Survivor.

To be a survivor means more than simply making it through challenges. It means having the courage to face adversity, the resilience to adapt, and the determination to keep moving forward. It means learning from our experiences, supporting one another, and emerging stronger than we were before.

This year, we will embrace every challenge as an opportunity to grow. We will celebrate our successes, learn from our setbacks, and remind one another that we are stronger when we work together. Our journey will be anchored by three essential pillars:

Strong Relationships

We believe meaningful relationships are the foundation of a successful school. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student, staff member, and family feels valued, seen, and heard. When we build strong relationships, we create a community where everyone can thrive.

High Expectations

We believe in the limitless potential of every Cub. We will challenge our students academically, socially, and personally while encouraging them to believe in themselves and strive for their very best. We will set high expectations, provide the support necessary to meet them, and celebrate the growth that happens along the way.

Positive Communication

Strong communities are built through open, honest, respectful, and encouraging communication. We are committed to communicating with kindness, clarity, and purpose. By listening to one another, sharing concerns, celebrating successes, and working together, we can strengthen the partnership between school and home.

As Cubs, we will face challenges with courage, support one another with compassion, and never stop believing in what we can accomplish together.
